Chamber music sounds and is perceived differently in different halls. In Komitas Chamber Music Home of Yerevan the architect came close to achieving the harmony of forms and music. Mean irrational interiors, muted tones, an open plan space of the auditorium with a small amphitheater for us – all these is naturally merge with the concert, bringing listeners true joy.
Relief mural made by the author, a chandelier and side lights of the hall, made according to his designs, complete unified architectural theme, as it were born out of standing on the stage of the Dutch organ building with 17 registers. The hall has good acoustics with volume of 12 thousand cubic meters of capacity, that can place 320 listeners.
A huge wall-screen, the lack of traditional restrictive barriers – walls, doors – combines the whole interior in a single concert hall and the surrounding nature. Green lawns, flower beds and water surface create a prelude to the unconventional architectural forms of the building of the Chamber Music Home after Komitas.
Famous instrumentalists have concerts here all the time, while instrumental and choral ensembles perform chamber music.
